Leading the Way in EMS Provider Safety

Modern EMS as we know it has only been around since the early 1970s. At the beginning, most of the regulations and standardizations focused on patient care. However, in recent years, we have seen a shift to provider safety.

One of the biggest risk EMS professionals face on the job is becoming involved in an ambulance crash. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration analyzed twenty years of ambulance crash data and found that most injuries and deaths were related to EMS personnel not wearing a seat belt. In fact, 84% of EMS providers in the patient compartment were not restrained in an accident.

Using this data, it is easy to see why a big part of ambulance safety today is focused on encouraging EMS personnel to stay seated and belted during transport. Manufacturers throughout the EMS industry are designing products to make it easier for providers to deliver quality patient care while ensuring their safety through restraint.

Award-Winning Solutions in Ambulance Seating

EVS Ltd is proud to say we lead the charge in designing innovating ambulance seating products to address this issue. Originally introduced in 2010, our Mobility Tracking System has won countless awards for innovation, helping to transform the delivery of emergency medical care and increase the safety of EMS professionals. It was the first product on the market specifically designed to improve working conditions for EMTs, while also keeping them seated and belted.

A Mobility Tracking System from EVS Ltd often replaces a bench seat; it is a fixed track system that allows an EMT to move quickly from the rear of the cot to the front of the cot without unbuckling their safety belt. This versatile tracking system is available in two options.

We Offer Two Exclusive Tracking System Products

Mobility 1-186 was our first tracking system introduced and works with our traditional attendant seats with fixed bottoms. It is compatible with seats: 1730, 1760, 1761, 1769, 2160, and 2169. It comes in a 36” or 48” length, making it more suitable for Type I or Type III ambulance configurations due to space.

Mobility 1-188 is our tracking system for flip-up seats, which offers more space in the ambulance module when not in use. It is compatible with seats: 1770 ET, 1780ET, 1170, 1780, 1790, 1791, 1900, 1900R, 2000, and 2000T. Like the Mobility 1-186, the track comes in a 36” or 48” length.
